Why 4.2 and not higher: Nomi is the only app where the memory signal (25%) is close to full marks on the evidence. An 11-month independent review and several Reddit long-termers describe it recalling small details weeks later. Pricing transparency is also strong, because a single flat plan covers messages, calls and image requests with no currency, and $99.99 a year works out to $8.33 a month.

What holds it back is the free-tier signal. One companion and a few daily messages are not enough to test the memory that justifies paying, so most people have to commit a month before they know. The complaints signal has also weakened in 2026.
